Summer is almost over...
Summer is almost over and it has been amazing!!! This summer I had one of the best experience of my life. I saw places that I have never seen before. Made friendships that will last forever and memories that will never fade. Wondering what I did? Well... I played basketball!

Defencive Stance
I was challenged that I couldn't stay in a low defencive stance for two minutes by my mom.
And I wanted to make her look ridiculous so I doubled two minutes and did four minutes! So while I was watching the Thunder beat the Lakers I was in defencive stance!
After the four minutes were up... well my legs started to cramp like crazy! They even cramped while they were strait!!! What a great idea!

Yakima
I don't think I ever mention the team I've been playing with the last few months, Club Shock Basketball. They're all very nice and I don't really want to say goodbye to them just yet, cause they're don't have tall players (yeah I know! I'm considered tall on their team!) but this next tournament in Yakima will be the last time I will be playing with them, as of right now...
But some good news is that , on the18th and 19th of May I will be playing with the Cascades and to top it off will be playing with the senior team in the Oregon Elite 40 Tournament!
Play hard and have fun!

Drew Hanlen Basketball Camp
Hey, sorry I haven't posted lately, but nothing has happened in a while... I was bored!!!! But this weekend I went to a Drew Hanlen camp at Oregon city highschool for the second time... It is a really good skill camp, for those of you who need new moves to practice or need to developpe and refine some of your skills, it is the perfect camp for you. Drew is a really nice guy and a great teacher, but be warned this camp isn't about playing and scrimmaging it's about improving yourself. He has his own company called Pure Sweat Basketball, and he trains NBA players.
Drew answers all tweets and emails himself so feel free to contact him if you have questions...

He also has a bunch of youtube videos just type in Drew Hanlen pure sweat Basketball.
I love his moves and I'm sure you will too.
Go check it out!!!!

Keeping you up to date!
For however many of you who actually have read my blog, here's an update!
Concerning the Columbia Cascades:
So, I was awesome! they were extremely impressed with my performance and they invited me to play with them at Arizona... Sadly my dad said no, because it costs 800$ for two tournaments!!!!!! But I will be playing as the youngest player, for them this summer.
Concerning this Weekend:
I was playing for the Club Shock team this weekend, guaranteed four games and I was excited 'cause my grandparents had came down from Prince George to watch me. The first game I was on fire, we lost, but I scored 20 of our 30 points! So, I was feeling good, ready to play our second game and three minutes in.... I sprain my ankle!!!!! Wow, way to go Ace!
Also through out the game the refs let it get out of hand and on my team, one girl got a concussion, another sprained a finger and another hurt her back!
So there was a few tears shed, some gasps and some yelling, and I couldn't play the rest of the weekend.
Now I'm focussing on getting better for the U-17 Try-outs.
And, now your up to date with whats going on!

U-17
So I'm going to try-out for the U-17 BC provincial team, I'm kinda, just a little scared. Because I'm going to probably younger then all of them by three or four years.
But I guess that's how it's going to be from now on.... But I'm also very excited, 'cause I know that I deserve to be there and I'm ready to kick some a**!!!!!!!!

I am currently on my second week of Spring-Break, I have had a lot of fun so far. I actually just came back from Victoria BC to pick up my dog Tuck.
He's a pure bred Border collie, he's four years old and I absolutely love him to death....
This weekend coming up, 24-25, is a huge deal for me. I will be trying-out for an amazing team called the Columbia Cascades, that is based out of Portland.
The coaches names are Al Aldridge, Angie Sun and Gary Wilson. It would be such an honor to be able to play for them, they are one of the best programs there is. I have been in contact with them for about a year and a half now, and they are amazing coaches and people. So for the next week I will be training and practising as much as possible.... Wish me luck!

Where it all Began....
March 16, 2012
Hi! My name is Ace, and I'm going to start off with where my career, however small, began.
Before I can Remember: My dad ran a travelling team called Next Level Athletics, the team travelled all around the States, and I was there water girl. I even practised my dribbling on the side, while they ran drills. And I got to see some amazing places and meet some interesting characters.
Kindergarten - Grade 4: I had always been a soccer player, wasn't very talented, but man was I fast. After five years of standing in the rain, my parents finally had enough! They convinced me to start basketball.
